Creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles) to ignite the power and promise of youth through programs including community-based, school-based, and specialized mentoring. Not necessarily science-based, but a wonderful way to engage with your local community, while representing yourself as a regular person and a scientist.

A a coalition of graduate students from multiple universities who provide scientific expertise and advocacy-relevant information to community organizations and grassroots leaders addressing local and regional environmental issues across Virginia. I participated while a master's student at JMU.
